چکیده

In this article, a staircase-shaped ultra-wide band dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) has been used as sensor for the detection of breast tumor by monostatic radar-based microwave imaging (MRMWI). The proposed DRA fractional bandwidth (BW) 98.5% and high peak gain 5.98 dB along with dual polarization behaviour from 5.12 to 8.2 GHz 11.02-13.8 GHz. MRMWI setup, is placed over phantom at distance 7 mm provides safe exposure radiation (<1.6 W/Kg). For simulation, it rotates around fixed interval in elevation (0-180°) azimuthal (0-360°) planes. It works radiate receives reflected signals towards scanned area simultaneously. To validate results, fabricated connected vector network analyzer (as done simulation) artificial phantom. That replica human made gelatin+sugar, Vaseline wheat flour+water equivalent skin, fat respectively. Afterward S11 responses are recorded presence absence inside A significant variation values leads tumors that processed further beam-forming algorithms; delay sum (DAS) delay-multiply (DMAS) reform 2-dimensional image MATLAB.

Dielectric Resonator Antenna for X band Microwave Application

A simple Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) for X band frequency operation is proposed in this paper. X band is a microwave band lies between frequency range 8 to 12 GHz. In proposed DRA reflector plane is used beneath the microstrip feed line with a small air gap, introduced between feed substrate and reflector plane to reduce the back lobe. Slot coupling is used to excite this DRA. Proposed D...

Embedded Dual band Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna

A compact dual-band antenna made of high dielectric constant substrate is studied. Embedding a higher dielectric cylindrical inside the substrate host cylindrical enhances the dual-band behaviour. The first part displays the characteristics of single CRDA as return loss, bandwidth and radiation pattern, then, the second part describes the aim of using an antenna, composed by the arrangement of ...

A Novel Circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna with Branch-Line Coupler and Log-Periodic Balun

A new shaped circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna (CP DRA) is studied with branch-line coupler and log-periodic balun for the GPS application. Since the coupler and balun are located under the DRA, it does not increase the footprint of the antenna, as a result the system is very compact. Two configurations are considered in this paper. In the first configuration, an external 50Ω lo...

A Compact Dual Band Dielectric Resonator Antenna For Wireless Applications

This paper presents the design of a dual band rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) coupled to narrow slot aperture that is fed by microstrip line. The fundamental TE111 mode and higher-order TE113 mode are excited with their resonant frequencies respectively. These frequencies can be controlled by changing the DRA dimensions. A dielectric resonator with high permittivity is used to mi...
